provided us with the webspace for this website. However, their support towards helping the Western Ground Parrot become re-established has gone much further. Exetel are also making substantial donations to help with major Western Ground Parrot projects. With their generous assistance it was possible to trial and use new autonomous recording units in the field. In future these units will make survey work much easier as they can be taken to more remote locations which are difficult to access in the dark. Presently funds are being made available to help set up a captive management project, a first step towards breeding these rare birds in captivity.
